Some milestones!

All right! Our milestones are Lily-centric. She can now sit up all by herself from a laying/rolling around position. And get DOWN from sitting up without falling. She is SO close to crawling, but still no go there. She can also clap! It's rather cute because she gets soooo excited.

The other news is that the girls officially got their first feel of grass today! It was about 65 outside and we took them out at their grandparents' house and sat them in the grass. Eve wasn't at all thrilled with it, and Lily took a few minutes to warm up to it before proceeding to roll around and sit up and everything. Eve preferred to stand propped against someone. She would tolerate sitting, but didn't want to lay on her tummy. She would turn onto her side and balance herself there, seeming to try and minimize how much of her made contact with the grass.

All right, that's it. Babies are ffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssssyyyyyyyyy. So I have to go!

My girls didn't like the feel of grass at all. We had to put a blanket down for them. Horray for Lily! Clapping is SO cute. That's great she can also get down without falling. I hated when my girls would fall over. I tried to be there all the time to catch them, but its inevitable that they'll bump their heads a few times. They're making progress!

Go girls!!! Just when you thought they were't catching up. Have fun, and enjoy that warm weather...it's warmer than here in California!!!

Congrats! They are growing up so fast aren't they! Grass always felt so funny between toes! (That and sand! I can't wait until the boys are older and we can go to the beach!)
How is Eve doing on the development front? Does Lily typically do new things first?

Hey Erin, they seem to flip flop. Lily got teeth first, now Eve has MORE teeth. Lily sat up first, but Eve used the walker first. Now it looks like Eve might crawl first, but Lily is clapping first. Lily definitely does talking things first. Yes, they are growing SO fast!

Yea girls! I loved the new clapping stage. It was so fun. My girls were so not fans of grass pretty much that entire summer. They would cry & crawl away as fast as possible :)
